Abstract
Laboratory experiments were conducted to study the effects of organic polymer on inhibiting the formation of natural gas hydrate in simulated deep water bore hole condition. Two additives,SD-102 and XY-28,were tested in different concentrations to investigate their performance in inhibiting the formation of natural gas hydrate. It was found that in deep water drilling, natural gas formation can hardly be inhibited just by adding a certain amount of XY-28,while the addition of SD-102 played no role in inhibiting the formation of natural gas.
