Abstract

Aim To provide the basis for further study of DNA vaccine against schistosoma japonicum. Methods The antigenic determinants were predicted by using PCGENE software and specific oligonucleotide primers were designed and synthesized;Total RNA was isolated from adult worms of Chinese S.japonicum by using TRIZOL reagent;Coding region of SjMLP gene was amplified by RT-PCR;Results The coding region of SjMLP gene was specifically amplified by RT-PCR and the size of amplified fragment was 756 base pairs. The DNA sequencing resuslt indicated that the part coding sequence of SjMLP is highly homology to the sequence of schistosoma mansoni. Conclusion Sequence of SjMLP is highly homology to of schistosoma mansoni.
