Abstract

It's discussed about technical parameters of activated carbon regeneration by microwave, and phenol wastewater was treated by activated carbon in this article. The results showed that the ability of activated carbon was improved apparently when it was regenerated by microwave. When the microwave power was 300 W and the regeneration time was 80 s.The removal rate of COD and A270 nm was 70.3% and 98.77%,respectively,but the removal rate of COD and A270 nm of fresh activated carbon was only 67.83% and 94.35%,respectively.When the activated carbon was once regenerated, its repetitive fives times absorption ability to phenol was higher than the fresh activated carbon absorption ability, and when the activated carbon was regenerated twice, its repetitive fives times absorption ability to phenol was just equivalent to the fresh activated carbon absorption ability.
