Abstract
Causality is the important subject of epistemology, which attracts many philosophers' attention after Hume's critique. One of them is Jin Yuelin,he specially studies the causality,of course, his work responds to Hume's critique. At the beginning,Jin Yuelin confirms existence of necessary causality and contingent causality. Then according to the principle thatlogic is necessary and state of affairs is contingent,he combines two kinds of causality. He not only gives the detailed explanation to objective existence of causality, but also guarantees natural order by affirming the existence of necessary causality,so he lays the foundation for objective knowledge. But Jin Yuelin does not give robust justification to defend the existence of necessary causality,it should be said that this is a flaw of his theory of causality.
