Abstract

Through the comparison of different methods, combining with an example it analyzes the answer of pier under earthquake action, several conclusions are drawn the vibration frequency of a pier becomes obviously smaller because of hydrodynamic pressure, the value of hydrodynamic pressure is so large that it is notable, with the pier in water, the moment on the top of the foundation is obviously smaller compare to that when the pier is dry.
