Effect of Medium with Different Sugar Content on the Growth of Tube Seedlings of Potato

[Objective] The study aimed to optimize the growth medium of potato tube seedings and improve the quality of potato tube seedlings.[Method] The 9 kinds of mediums with different sugar content were prepared to make the agar solid culture on the stem segment of potato variety Zhongshu 3,and the growth vigor of tube seedlings was observed to study the effect of those mediums on the growth of potato tube seedlings.[Result] The effect of mediums with different sugar content on the growth of potato tube seedlings was obvious,and the growth condition of tube seedlings was not all the same.The growth vigor of potato tube seedlings in the medium treatment of potato medium +1/4 MS(NH4NO3 +KNO3 + KH2PO4)+0.4 mg/L 6-BA +0.1 mg/L IBA+30 mg/L B9+4% sugar was the best with the uniform internode,big leaf area,sturdily stem,no vitrification phenomenon and highest yield of potato,the following was the 2 treatments of potato medium +0.4 mg/L 6-BA +0.1 mg/L IBA+30 mg/L B9+4% sugar and MS+ 0.4 mg/L 6-BA+0.1 mg/L IBA+30 mg/L B9+4% sugar.[Conclusion] The medium with 4% sugar content was most beneficial to the growth of potato tube seedlings,and the seedlings were strong,uniform and tidiness with the survival rate of transplanting seedlings in protected field reaching 100% and highest yield of potato.
