Abstract

GB/T 9396—1996 Methods of measurement for main characteristics of loudspeakers will be revised according to international standard IEC 60268-5:2007. In Chapter 23, the coverage angel is increased in the latest edition. The main differences between radiation angle and coverage angle are given, and the loudspeak′s directivity index is measured by two methods. The result shows that coverage angel will bring more convenience to calculate directivity index of loudspeaker.
