Abstract

Objective:To ensure the patients′s medication and to promote rational drug use.Methods:13 569 out-patient prescriptions in 2008 in our hospital were randomly selected, in which the irrational prescriptions and irrational drug use were classified and analyzed statistically based on clinical pharmacological knowledge and literatures.Results:The irrational prescriptions were 611 pieces which amounted for 4.5%.431 pieces were irrational prescriptions(70.5% of the total) involved irrational drug use like repeated drug application, improper combination.Conclusion:To reduce the irrational drug use,clinicians should be provided with timely feedbacks on medication information to doctors.
