A STUDY ON HYDROCARBON GENERATION HISTORY AND EXPULSION HISTORY OF SOURCE ROCK IN THE ZHEDONG CENTRAL ANTICLINE BELT,XIHU DEPRESSION

In order to deepen the research of hydrocarbon accumulation process and choose the optimum exploration targets,the hydrocarbon generation history and expulsion history in the Zhedong central anticline belt were reconstructed quantitatively by use of the technique of dynamic numerical modeling,based on the analysis of source rock characteristics.It is shown that there are four source rocks in the study area,that the Eocene Pinghu Formation is the principal source rock,which had a high organic matter abundance,hydrocarbon generation intensity and hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency,that the process of expelled hydrocarbon appeared in multi stages and multiperiods,and that the petroleum system from the Pinghu Formation source rock should be the major exploration target in the study area.
