Value of Scientific Rationality

Abstract

Rationality is the essence of science while science is its outward appearance. This paper discusses its rationality as well as its weak points by reviewing its historical development and defining its conception. Based on it, a criterion for its value assessment is introduced. Dissimilation of scientific technology and subjects is deeply rooted in rational dogmatism. It mainly lies in itsmisconception and Utopian ideals of blind belief in its omnipotent. It is imperative that value of scientific rationality be researched and its morals be questioned, thus guiding mankind's effort in the 21st century.
