The variance analysis result shows that the effects of 34 Schima superba provenances from 6 provinces all reach the significant or extremely significant level in statistics.The provenances from the south grow quickly as compared with the ones from the north.10 fine provenances are selected preliminarily by taking the seedling height as the standard at the seedling stage,these preliminarily selected provenances mostly come from the naturally distributed center production areas of S.superba.
