Water pollution characteristics of Caohai Lake wetland (Guizhou) and its pollution factors analysis

In order to promote the sustainable development of Guizhou Caohai plateau wetland,improve the environment and restore the wetland functions of Caohai nature reserve.The characteristics of quality of Caohai in rainy and dry season were analyzed,and the first rank defined in Environmental quality standard for surface water was used as a basis to evaluate the quality of Caohai the integrated pollution index was studied.The results indicate that: during dry season and rainy season,nearly all monitoring indexes were different.For example,DO,permanganate index,TP,TN,ammonia nitrogen,and BOD,they all showed significant related relationship.the integrated evaluation index of caohai Lake area.The integrated quality assessment index(IWQAI) of rainy season was higher than that of dry season,but the distribution features of them are basically consistent.The Caohai Matou area possessed the highest IWQAI and it was seriously polluted.From the inlet of the lake to the center area,the IWQAI value decreased.The pollutant sources of Caohai are mainly agricultural fertilizers,farm livestock and the villages around the lake.More attention should be paid to limit the production of agricultural waste and waste emissions.
