Investigation of hand hygiene among adolescent of middle school

Objective To understand the adolescents' status of hand hygiene,general requirements,and provide and the theory basis for health education and health intervention. Method By convenience sampling method,one questionnaire survey was conducted among 367 students of grade one of Yanji high school,and the 316 were students were surveyed by the crowd structured observation. Results 43.1% of students received education about washing hands,awareness of health related knowledge was high;unwilling to wash their hands accounted for 23.7%,13.1% of people didn't washing hands.The main causes of no washing hands included no hand washing facilities(23.1%),no warm water(21.8%),no towels and soap(18.3%);master rate of hand washing method was 38.1%,and the actual master of hand washing method was only10.1%.Differences were found between knowledge and behavior. Conclusion Adolescents hand hygiene health education needs to be strengthened,at the same time the school hand washing facilities remains to be further improved,and to create a good environment for hand hygiene conditions.
