Abstract

Objective To discuss action of microelement Se in cervix carcinoma pathogenesis. Methods The serum Se contents of 44 cases cervix carcinoma, 18 cases benign cervix disease and 20 cases healthy adults were detected with AFS1201 type atomic spectrofluorometer. Results The serum Se content in cervix carcinoma was 1.06±0.18 μmol/l and was obviously lower than those 1.28±0.17 μmol/l in benign disease and 1.28±0.24μmol/l in healthy adults (p0.05). Conclusion The lack of Se might be related with pathogenesis of cervix carcinoma. The available supplement of Se might be reasonable and effective treatment method.
