Abstract

Objective To analysis the emm typing of Streptococcus pyogenes(Group A Streptococcus,GAS)isolated from children with adenopharyngitis.Methods In 2007,119 Streptococcus pyogene were isolated from children with adenopharyngitis in Chongqing(42 strains),Shenzhen(30 strains),and Shanghai(47 strains).The encoding mature M protein gene(emm gene)was amplified by PCR.The amplified production of emm gene was sequenced and stored in the CDC database.The emm types of GAS strains were identified.Results Thirteen emm types,emm1.0(24.37%),emm3.1(0.83%),emm4.0(0.83%),emm6.5(1.68%),emm12.0(55.46%),emm22.0(10.08%),emm63.0(0.83%),emm77.0(0.83%),emm80.0(0.83%),emm102.2(1.68%),emm104.0(0.83%),st1815.0(0.83%),and stG485.0(0.83%)were identified in children with adenopharyngitis.Ten emm types emm1.0(11.90%),emm3.1(2.38%),emm6.5(4.76%),emm12.0(61.90%),emm22.0(4.76%),emm63.0(2.38%),emm80.0(2.38%),emm102.2(4.76%),st1815.0(2.38%),and stG485.0(2.38%)were identified in Streptococcus pyogene isolated from Chongqing.Five emm types,emm1.0(16.67%),emm12.0(50.00%),emm22.0(26.67%),emm77.0(3.33%),and emm104.0(3.33%)were identified in Streptococcus pyogene isolated from Shenzhen.Four emm types emm1.0(40.42%),emm4.0(2.13%),emm12.0(53.19%),and emm22.0(4.26%)were identified in Streptococcus pyogenes isolated from Shanghai.Conclusions The most common emm types of Streptococcus pyogene isolated from children with adenopharyngitis are emm1.0,emm12.0,and emm22.0 in Chongqing,Shenzhen,and Shanghai.The Streptococcus pyogenes isolated from children with adenopharyngitis had some differences in these three areas.
