Clinical observation on effect of JianganJiangzhi decoction in treating nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of JianganJiangzhi(improving liver function and lowering blood-lipid) decoction in treating nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. [Methods] One hundred and twenty patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease were randomized into treatment group and control group. The patients in treatment group were treated with JianganJiangzhi decoction once a day, while those in control group with two Polyene Phosphatidylcholine capsules, three times a day. All these patients were followed up for 3 months to observe the changes in symptom, liver function, blood-lipid and USG. [Results] Thirty nine cases were nearly cured, 14 cases were efficacious, 6 cases were ineffective, and the cured rate was 88.3% in treatment group. Seventeen cases were nearly cured, 23 cases efficacious, 20 cases ineffective and the cure rate was 68.3% in the control group. There was a significant difference in the total effective rates between two groups (P0.01). [Conclusions] The decoction can significantly lower the level of blood-lipid, improve the liver function and ameliorate the USG exhibition of liver. It has obvious clinical effect in treating nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
