Environmental Kuznets Curve Test in China:Positive Analysis Based on Panel Data from 1997 to 2006

Inter-provincial panel data concerning air pollution,sewage and solid wastes are cited for Kuznets curve to the relation between economic growth and environmental pollution in China during 1997~2006.The positive analysis shows that economic growth has slow improving effect on the environmental quality,while the effect of factors else are uncertain during the time.The relationship between indicators of economic development and environment mostly appears curves of N-type or inverted N-type.Therefore,a Kuznets curve is false for the inter-provincial panel data of China.
