Abstract

Objective: To explore the method and curative effect of transcallosal interforniceal approach microsurgical operation resection of the third ventricle tumors. Methods: The transcallosal interforniceal approach in microsurgical operation resection of third ventricle tumors 13 cases, and analyze the effect. Results: Total resection was achieved in 10 cases, subtotal resection in 3 cases, operation was successful.Polyuria, polydipsia, electrolyte disturbance occurred in 7 cases after operation,3 patients with central high fever, somnolence in 2 cases,3 cases of transient mutism, after treatment of 1~2 weeks to discharge. Conclusion: The transcallosal interforniceal approach along the anatomic space contributes to higher total tumor resection rate, less postoperative complications.
