Abstract
Objective To explore the temperament traits of infants aged one to four months. Methods The Cerey′s Revision of the Infant Temperament Questionnaire(RITQ) was taken to investigate 149 children of 1-4 months old for analyzing the temperament traits of infants. Results Among all the infants, there were 65 who belong to E type(43.6%),66,I-E type(44.3%),4,S type(2.7%),4,I-D type(2.7%),and 10,D type(6.7%).The infants aged different months and of different sexes showed no significant difference in temperament trait(P0.05).Male infants showed significant differences from female infants in adaptability and decentralization of attention scores(P0.05).There were significant differences among infants aged different months in scores of level, rhythm and avoiding of activity, intensity of reaction, persistence, and threshold of reaction(P0.05).Conclusion The temperament traits of infants aged different months and of different sexes have no obvious difference. The adaptability and decentralization of attention scores of male infants are significant higher than those of female infants. In some temperament dimensionality the infants aged different months have shown different.
