Abstract

Objectives To investigate the nurses' job stressors,levels of burnout and the relationship between them in a children's hospital.Methods By convenience sampling method,758 pediatric nurses were investigated with the Nurses' Job Stressors Scale and Job Burnout Scale.Results The work stress of nurses in children's hospitals were mainly from workload,time allocation,profession,work,and patient care.The score of burnout among nurses in children's hospitals was significantly higher than those in general hospitals(P0.01).Regression analysis showed that job stressors is an important factor of job burnout.Conclusion Hospitals and nursing managers should take effective measures according to the relation between job stressors and burnout,to enhance nurses' physical and psychological health.
