Appraisal of Agricultural and Rural Economic Condition in Ecological Economic Zone of the Three Gorges Reservoir in Chongqing

Abstract
16 targets reflecting agriculture and the rural economy in ecological economic zone of the Three Gorges reservoir in Chongqing were selected. Synthesis value of each county was calculated using the principal components analysis method. Result showed that the development level of agriculture and the rural economy was the highest in Wangzhou district,Kai county,Fuling,Zhong county. And Chengkou,Wuxi,Wushan,Wulong were the backward area of the development of agriculture and the agricultural economy in the Three Gorges zone.
