Abstract
The corrosion behavior of weathering steel in alternate corrosion environment was investigated with 35%NaCl and deionized water as harsh and gentle atmospheric corrosion environment, respectively. The results show that a dense rust layer is formed easily for the steel corroded in the alternate corrosion environment comparing with the single corrosion environment. And it is easier to form the rust layer for the steel corroded in the environment of rigour first and then ease comparing with that of ease first and then rigour.
