Current status and conservation of mangrove resources in Tielu Harbor,Sanya,Hainan

The Tielu Habor mangrove area of Hainan is typical and rich in mangrove resources,including 13 true mangrove plants species belonging to 9 genera and 8 families,6 semi-mangrove species belonging to 6 genera and 6 families,and 6 mangrove associates species belonging to 6 genera and 6 families. The mangrove communities in this area can be divided into four major groups,i.e. Avicennia marina community,Rhizophora apiculata community,Lumnitzera racemosa community and Xylocarpus granatum community. With the fast development of Tielu Habor,mangrove of this area is decreasing drastically. At present,the mangrove is in endangered status,so that the local government should take effective measures to protect it.
