Abstract
Based on a correlation analysis of regional distribution, topographical and geomorphic distribution and formation time between loess landslides and loess caves, the development density and degree of loess caves were found to have been evidently increased on landslide bodies, and it was further concluded that the influence of loess landslides on loess caves was mainly by means of affecting joint fissures and hydraulic conditions. The effects of loess caves on loess landslides were that they could accelerate the development of gullies, aggravate local landslide failures, change percolation conditions of landslides, induce new-landslides and revive ones too.
