Abstract

Natural peat was used for the adsorption of Cu2+ and Pb2+ and the combined ions. The effect of quality concentration of peat, the value of pH and the reciprocity of the combined ions on the capacity of the adsorption agent was discussed. The experiment indicated that:the removal of the ions increases with more amount of peat, the adsorption of Cu2+and Pb2+ was highest with pH of 5,and the removal of the combined ions was highest with pH of 6,which indicates that the reciprocity exists between the ions.
