Abstract
The sedimentary facies of the Jurassic Badaowan Formation in the Xia9 Well Field of Karamay Oilfield have not been clearly known for a long time.In this article, the authors study the sedimentary characteristics of the Badaowan Formation in the Xia9 Well Field based on the sufficiently data from well cores, drilling and well logging, etc,in order to explore oil and gases potentials and supply some beneficial district. It is suggesed that the sedimentary facies of the Jurassic Badaowan formation in Xia9 Well Field is the braided river facies.Three subfacies and six micro-facies are identified.
