Abstract
The scavenging effects of four fractions of the extract from Sanguisorba officinalis on superoxide anion free radical (O-2·) and hydroxyl free radical (·OH) were studied by three photometric methods and BHT was used as reference. The results showed that all fractions except that from petroleum ether possessed ·OH free radical scanvenging effects, but no effect on O-2· free radical. The ethyl acetate fraction possessed the strongest scavenging activity on ·OH free radical.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
