Abstract
This paper considers a method about optimum design of piled-raft foundation——designing piled-raft foundation using the principle of settlement control.The theory and designing steps about reducing settlement and balancing settlement with variation rigidity have been introduced,so as to change the traditional designing concept of foundation,combining the advantages of both foundation and natural foundation.
