Abstract

The degradation of phenol by microwave, carbon and H2O2 was studied. The effect of active carbon dosage,H2O2 volume,MW radiation,MW radiation time,pH and used times of active carbon degradation of phenol were investigated. The results indicated that degradation rate of 100 mg /L phenol waste water got to 93.56% with 4 min when the active carbon was 1.0 g and 1.0 mL 30% H2O2 was added and microwave power as 210 W in pH of 5.For actual waste water by this way,the degradation of phenol was at least 89%.Through contrast experiments,it showed that the phenol was degraded by synergetic effect of microwave, active carbon and H2O2.Treatment actual wastewater by this way required about $ 3.64.
