Abstract
Using rape‘zhoumai18'as the material,the effects of waterlogging stress for different duration on seedling growth and physiological and biochemical changes of wheat seedling was studied by indoor hydroponic culture. The content of malondialdehyde( MDA),free proline and activity of superoxide dismutase( SOD),peroxidase( POD),catalase activity( CAT) were measured. The results were obtained as follow: with the increase of waterlogging stress duration,the MDA content and free proline content of wheat seedling leaves were increased;Superoxide dismutase( SOD),peroxidase( POD) and catalase activity( CAT) rose at the initial stage and then dropped at the following stage. These results indicated that: wheat seedlings were greatly damaged with the diachronic waterlogging stress.
