Abstract

Biodegradation of 2, 4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) in the existence of different cometabolizing substrates was studied. It was found that addition of phenol or 4-MCP can promote the compound bacteria for biodegradation of 2, 4-DCP, but the proper proportion of their dosage is different. The existence of 2, 4-DCP will postpone the compound bacteria for biodegradation process of phenol and 4-MCP.
