Abstract

The three structures, i.e water droplets in oil、bicontinuous structure and oil droplets in water, of a four-component system of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide /n-butanol/cyclohexane/water microemulsion are studied by measuring the dependence of electrical conductivity on water content. The influences of surfactant CTAB and cosurfactant n-butanol content on the stability of the microemulsion are system are discussed and the proper proportion between CTAB and n-butanol for stable microemulsion is obtained.
