Abstract

Based on the utilization technology for the whole components from rice straw by extrusion method,the hydrolysate's purifying process and effects were investigated.The results showed that the optimum additional hydrolysis time was 1 h,and appropriate amount of activated carbon was 25%.Under these conditions,the purity of hydrolysate reached up to 95%,the loss ratio of reducing sugar was below 5% and the transmittance of hydrolysate was 97.7%.This condition could meet production requirements of xylose or xylitol.
