Abstract
To effectively suppress the 5th and 7th harmonics,a new type of hybrid APF(Active Power Filter) is introduced, which combines the APF with the passive power filters and is controlled by two DSPs.Its working principle and main circuit structure are analyzed and its design concept and implementation are introduced. The harmonic detection based on the instantaneous reactive power theory and the compensation control are presented. The traditional ip-iq detection algorithm is improved to adapt to the three-phase four-wire system and the totally digital control system is designed for shunt APF,for which experiments are carried out.The experimental results prove that, the dual-DSP based control system has good compensation performance, low cost and technical difficulty because of reduced APF capacity.
