Analysis on status of food poisoning in China from 2005 to 2011

OBJECTIVE To control the regularity and features of food poisoning happened in China from 2005 to 2011,to take some scientific and effective preventive measures to control food poisoning.METHODS Described the time,location,number,death rate,pathogensis factors and food poisoning in the recent 7 years.RESULTS The location where had most food poisoning events and most people died of food poisoning was family,the place where had most number of people with food poisoning was canteen;the main cause of food poisoning was microbial food poisoning,the death rate due to chemical food poisoning was highest,microbial food poisoning caused most students of food poisoning,the chemical food poisoning was the main cause of leading students to die.CONCLUSION The status of food poisoning in China have been improved step by step,but the whole situation is still serious.It should built the risk early-warning,evaluation mechanism,and rapid response mechanism of food poisoning,strengthen popularization about the food safety knowledge,establish the supervision measures in school,university and canteen to reduce the mortality rate of food poisoning and change the severe situation of food poisoning in China.
