Abstract
Objective : To summary the clinical results of intrauterine insemination of the 702 cycles . Methods :Seven hundred and two cycles in 542 couples undergoing intrauterine insemination, in our hospital from June 1999 to February 2004, were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 542 couples were divided into five groups according to the infertility reason : unexplained infertility immune in fertility, male factor ovarian factor and tube factor. The pregnancy rate was compared。Results: The pregnancy rate was 11.25% per cycle and 14.58% per patient. The gravidity rate of original infertility group was obviously higher than that of the secondary infertility group (18.46% versus 6.70%). The clinical pregnancy rate in the tube factor group was obviously lower than others. The clinical pregnancy rate by IUI for 2 periods was obviously higher than for 1 or 3 and above periods. Conclusion :IUI is a very useful method of treating the sterility causing by non-salpinx factors, the best time limit is 3 periods.
