Abstract

A conceptual model is developed for studying the effects of partnership and information sharing on supply chain performance between core companies and OEM manufacturers.In this model,partnership is measured by trust,commitment,interdependence and cooperation,while information sharing is evaluated by information contents,hierarchy,mode and quality,and supply chain performance is measured by reliability,flexibility and asset utilization.The SPSS software has been used to analyze and test the data collected from 171 pairs in manufacturing outsourcing based on the model.The results show that the partnership has a positive impacts on information sharing,and information sharing and supply chain have very positive impacts on supply chain performance.Moreover,the trust of partnership,contents and quality of information sharing are typically important.The managers must trust their partners and cooperate with them in solid sincerity,and pay attention to the contents and quality of information sharing.
