Abstract

The paper investigated feed ratio of the continuous phase(V c)to the discontinuous phase(V d),the particle size of cottonseed flour and gossypol extraction. Results of experiment showed:(1)The best ratio of the continuous phase to the discontinuous was 1.5∶1(2)The particle size of cottonseed flour was great influence on the extraction. For that cottonseed flour (d 50 100 μm ),the residual oil content of the meal decreased with the reduction of the particle size. However, if the d 50 of the flour was over 100 μm ,the residual oil of content of the meal would keep at a high value, unchanged with the diameter, (3)With the oil extracted from the meal, gossypol was extracted, no special process was needed.
