Abstract
The super absorbent resin was synthesized by solution polymerization of acrylic acid-sodium acrylate, using mannitol as crosslinking agent and APS(ammonium persulphate) as initiator. The result showed the absorbability of the product in distilled water and in normal saline were 1750 mL/g and 130 mL/g respectively when the concentration of monomer was 40%,the neutralization degree of monomer was 75%,the amount of initiator and crosslinking was 0.5% and 6% respectively and the react temperature was 70℃,The swelling kinetics, water retention and thermal stability were investigated. The effects of solution with different pH value and different salt solutions on the obtained polymers were also studied.
