Abstract
Objective To study the optimal extraction process of total saponins of purslane, one of the effective parts of purslane. Methods L9(34) orthogonal experiment was designed. The content of total saponins was determined by UV spectrophotometry, the content of Daucosterol was developed as its quality standard, and four factors that may affect the extraction of total saponins were studied, including examining extraction time, extraction times, alcoholic volume and alcoholic concentration. Results The best extraction process of total saponins was 10 times amount of 75% EtOH,extraction solvent to reflux for 1.0 hour and 3 times. Conclusion The process is stable and reliable.
