Abstract

This paper is to generalize the main point of Talmy's Lexicalization Pattern theory from the angle of surface element and the semantic element respectively.The theory helps us to probe the complicated relation between these two kinds of element more deeply.The paper also attempts to point out the insufficiency of the theory,and adds some additional facts from the ethnic languages in China.
