Abstract

[Objective]The economic efficiency from 2 types of rice cultivation models:the directly rice-sowing in upland by machine(Treatment I) and the machinery transplanting of rice seedling from dry seedbed(Treatment Ⅱ),was compared.[Method]The planting cost and economic efficiency of the farmers'rice production, which 2 types of rice cultivation models was adopted, were analyzed based on the estimation of rice yield by means of the monitor method for conventional rice cultivation and their advantage and disadvantage were compared.[Result]The rice yield from the Treatment Ⅱ was significant higher than that of Treatment I.In the Treatment I the rice yield was very unstable, which maximum yield was 176% of the lowest yield. In Treatment Ⅱ,the highest rice yield was 133% of the lowest yield. The cost of Treatment Ⅱ was lower than that of Treatment I and one time of herbicide-using in Treatment I was more than that in Treatment Ⅱ,resulting in both the increment of its production cost and the environment from herbicide. The economic efficiency from Treatment Ⅱ was higher than that of Treatment I.[Conclusion] The technique of the directly rice-sowing in upland by machine could be neither labour/cost-saving nor income-increasing.Thus,the technique should be limited if the production condition was available.
