Discussion on Technologies of Wastewater Reuse in Northwestern China

Abstract

Wastewater reuse is an effective way to solve water shortage problem. The development tendency of wastewater reuse and some treatment processes of wastewater reuse cases in China are presented . Also the new treatment technologies and modes of wastewater reuse are discussed. In accordance with regional characteristics of the northwest and the situation of lagging economy, it is indicated that the high efficiency and energy saving treatment technologies,such as land treatment, stabilization ponds, enhanced primary treatment, are suitable for wastewater reuse in northwestern China.
