Abstract

This paper reviews the development of theoretic research in anthropology and analyzes the skeleton of postmodernism anthropology. Theoretic research in anthropology has changed profoundly since 1980s. The development of social practice theory and power theory resulted in the prosperity of post-structuralism in anthropology,and the emergence of historical anthropology,interpretation anthropology and experimental ethnography facilitated the turning of postmodernism anthropology.
