Abstract

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of proximal tibial percutaneous puncture(PTPP) in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods One hundred and eighty-three patients with knee osteoarthritis were divided into experimental group and control one.All patients took brufen 300 mg,bid, while the patients in experimental group were given PTPP treatment. All patients were followed up periodically. Results All patients were followed up periodically for 8-15 months,an average of 9.3 months. The clinical manifestation such as pains, swelling and so on in experimental group shows improvement(P 0.05).And the effective rate in experimental group was obviously higher than control group(P 0.05).Conclusion PTPP can improve the clinical manifestation of knee osteoarthritis patients. It is simple and safe, without obvious adverse reactions.
