Sum Up of the Research on Folk Songs of China's Ethnic Minorities in the 20th Century

During the period from the May 4 Movement to the mid of the 20th century,Research on Chinese folk songs had still been in its initial stage and had not really come down to the research on ethnic minority folk songs.However,it had provided the research methods samples as well as accumulated theory for the future research on folk songs of ethnic minorities.After the establishment of New China,the development of Chinese folk songs of ethnic minorities underwent an important stage i.e.the New Folk Song Movement in 1958 and the prosperity of the research on ethnic minority folk songs is in the new era.
