Abstract

Objective: To select the Optimal method of extraction by using three different methods of extracting Astragalus Polysaccharide. Methods:Macroporous resin water extraction method, water extract-alcohol precipitation and ultrasonic extraction were used to extract polysaccharide, respectively, comparing the three extraction technologies for the extraction rate of Astragalus polysaccharide, and the astragalus polysaccharide content was calculated by using spectrophotometry. Results:The Astragalus polysaccharide extraction rate was 4.186% with the the astragalus polysaccharide content of 26.19% by using Macroporous resin water extraction method and the Astragalus polysaccharide extraction rate was 4.468% with the content of 29.40% by using water extract-alcohol precipitation and the Astragalus polysaccharide extraction rate was 3.420% with the content of 30.95% by using ultrasonic extraction. Conclusion:water extract-alcohol precipitation is the Optimal extraction method for the highest content and extraction rate of Astragalus polysaccharide.
