The System of Technical Barriers to Trade and China's Foreign Trade Development

The Technical Trade Barriers include:the technical standard and legislation,the eligibility assessment procedure,the requirement of package and countermark,the institution of quarantining and inspecting products,the information technical barrier,green technical barrier and so on. The technical trade barriers possess characteristics which are widespread,systematicness,legitimate,dual nature,concealed,flexibility,disputed and so forth. When the pressure of international environment increases and some international treaties are put into practice, the technical trade barriers are widely affecting our foreign trade in agriculture products,textiles,mechanical and electrical products,toy,medical products and so on. Therefore, our government and enterprises must together make some strategic decisions to deal with the technological trade barriers.
