Abstract

Silt in the liquefaction region of the Yellow River Delta area is studied in this paper.Liquefaction characteristics of silt under dynamic loads are analyzed on the basis of the results of indoor dynamic tri-axial tests, and the pore-water-pressure increasing model of in-situ silt is presented through simulating the pore-water-pressure response of silt to seismic loads. The characteristics and model are compared respectively with those of silty sand and silty clay to draw some conclusions.
