Reexploring the Essence of Culture

Culture refers to all the activities and their results that exceed human instincts,human consciousness upon nature and human society.It includes three layers of contents:Layer of implements,layer of system and layer of spirit.Culture consists of the generalized concept of culture,the concept of culture between the broad sense and the narrow sense and the concept of the narrow sense.The essence of culture is that human beings in historical and social activities try to adapt to,make use of and reform the object—nature,society and human beings themselves,and meanwhile,it is a sustained process and relatively stable result of the influence on man's mental society.It is dialectical unity of man and object,subject and object,internalization and enternalization.
